The cabin in the opening/first chapter of book 2 (Úlfheimr: The Dark Age) was not in Norway. Or Montana. It was located in British Columbia, Canada. In the Elaho Valley to be more specific, a remote and rugged volcanic region on the other side of the mountains, to the west from Whistler, and south from Mount Meager.
