Harald Hardrada (Harald Hardruler) was one of the great Norse Kings of the viking age who claimed the crown of Norway, Denmark and England within his lifetime.

Harald was half brother to Norwegian King Olav II. Olav was killed by Cnut the great whom was expanding his Danish kingdom. Which brought Harald’s childhood to an end.
