Keep Your Swimmers Healthy
Fertility rates are collapsing in the west. Don't be a statistic.
Since 1989 sperm count has been decreasing by almost 5% each year. A major factor is endocrine disrupters found in your environment, and that may be difficult to avoid if you don’t live in the middle of nowhere in relative self-sufficiency. Other factors, however, are completely controllable.
Underwear
Wearing (tight) underwear directly affects the health of your sperm. This is what underwear does to your nuts:
First, it keeps your package too warm. Your balls are supposed to be the coldest part of your body for a reason. Underwear brings your balls closer to your body. But because your balls are put against your body instead of hanging low and free, they heat up. This is not good for your sperm quality.
Studies have indeed confirm that tight underwear adversely affect semen quality: Largest study yet shows type of underwear is linked to men's semen quality,European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology.
Second, underwear present an hygiene issue. Your underwear may indeed absorb some bacteria, especially if not wool. Because your underwear is in contact with your balls, then all the bacteria that are absorbed by your underwear are now in contact with you sack. This is a problem.
Third, and this is critical, another issue is the fabric of your underwear. Polyester is indeed the worst material to pick for underwear. In some studies, ALL men became infertile while wearing a polyester sling applied to their scrotum: Contraceptive efficacy of polyester-induced azoospermia in normal men, Department of Surgery & Research, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. Furthermore, polyester underwear also makes the temperature warmer. Which, as stated earlier, is bad for sperm quality. In this study, cotton was found to be much better (but still not beating wool): Testicular temperature and quality absorbent materials: Cotton versus Polyester, Medical Centre for Obstetrics-Gynaecology and Sexology. These are only some of the adverse effects of polyester on your body. It is, ultimately, a highly toxic fabric.
Mitigation
Best option is not to wear underwear at all, assuming that your pants or shorts, naturally, are not polyester. If they are, or if you want/need to west underwear, do not, under any circumstance, wear polyester underwear. Best option is wool, but cotton is an acceptable alternative. Underwear shall also be loose, as in boxers, or wool briefs that tend to become loose within minutes of putting them on.
Testosterone
The decrease in testosterone is also a problem in itself but it is also linked to fertility. Testosterone is needed for sperm production. So lower testosterone will also mean lower sperm production.
Mitigation
You need to keep your testosterone levels up. This means being fit, blowing loads several times a day (preferably in a hole), getting enough sleep, avoiding artificial stress (as in related to modern society rather than survival in a natural environment, bleeding a little on a regular basis (like fighting), having a good natural diet that is protein and fat based (and specifically avoiding carbohydrates), and getting some Vitamin D in Summer. If you need a booster, don’t get testosterone injections or actual drugs, go for something natural like Karlmennska: Nordic Testosterone Booster(100% natural).
Soy
And thus, processed foods. Soy is highly toxic to men as it mimics estrogen molecules, and thus, shuts down your testosterone production. Soy lowers testosterone: Dietary soy-phytoestrogens decrease testosterone levels and prostate weight without altering LH, prostate 5alpha-reductase or testicular steroidogenic acute regulatory peptide levels in adult male Sprague-Dawley rats, Neuroscience Center, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah 86402, USA. Soy also lowers sperm quality: Soy food and isoflavone intake in relation to semen quality parameters among men from an infertility clinic, Department of Nutrition, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, MA, USA.
Mitigation
This one is simple: Just don’t eat soy. This means also that you shall stay away from processed foods, as they generally contain soy.
